Welcome to the Counseling Department!

The Adams 12 Five Star School Counseling program supports the development of the whole child by advocating for academic, social/emotional, career and post-secondary needs and strives to develop life-long learners and productive citizens.

The Adams 12 Five Star School  Counseling program works collaboratively with parents, community members and educators to empower every child, regardless of individual differences or obstacles, to ensure all students are prepared for meaningful, productive learning through a data-driven comprehensive K-12 school counseling program.

Important Announcements

2019-2020 Summer Break

Counselors will be out of the office for summer break until August 12th. 

Please look at the following for most common questions:

Grades and assessment results: In the IC Parent Portal you can view your child's grades, attendance, class schedules and assessment results, including the ACCESS test. Log into the IC Parent Portal, select a student (if you have more than one child enrolled in Adams 12 Five Star Schools), and then click the "Reports" tab on the left side of the screen.
To see a history of all your child's scores for assessments click the report titled, "Portal Assessment Summary" 

Summer Learning Resources: Here is a link to learning resources that your family might choose to use to keep your students engaged in learning over the summer. 

Free Summer Meals:  Summer Grab and Go Meals: Meal service will continue every Monday, Wednesday and Friday throughout the summer at drive-thru and walk-up locations across the district. More information (including new walk-up locations).

Prior to Remote Learning

Welcome to the Counseling Department 

Need to see your grade level counselor?

If you need to talk to a counselor, sign-in and a counselor will call you down. If it's an emergency (someone is in danger), please notify another adult if you have not been called down within 30 minutes. Please note: this form is NOT monitored outside of school hours (Monday-Friday 8:30 AM-3:45 PM)

If you have an emergency after school hours please call 911 or safe 2 tell.  

2020-2021 REGISTRATION INFORMATION

  • Incoming 6th graders:
    • Attend our Open House on Wednesday, March 11th from 4-6:30 pm at The International School at Thornton Middle
  • Incoming 7th & 8th graders:
    • TBD
  • Current 6th to 7th and 7th to 8th graders:
    • TBD
  • Outgoing 8th graders/Incoming high school students
    • Plan on attending an 8th grade Open House at one of the following schools:
      • Legacy -- Monday, March 2nd, 6:30-8:30pm
      • Northglenn -- Tuesday, March 3rd,  5:00-7:00pm
      • Mountain Range -- Wednesday, March 4: A-G at 5 pm, H-N at 5:40 pm, O-Z at 6:20pm
      • Horizon -- Monday, March 2nd, 6:00-8:00pm
      • Thornton -- Tuesday, March 3rd, 5:00-7:00pm
