6th Grade Orientation

Time: 8:40am - 11:50am

Dear 6th Grade Families,

We are excited to welcome our newest Cougars to Thornton Middle School! We invite all incoming 6th grade students to join us for 6th Grade Orientation on Monday, August 10, from 8:40 a.m. to 11:50 a.m.

District transportation will be provided for students who qualify for bus service. Please note that breakfast and lunch will not be served during orientation.

This special morning is designed to help students feel confident and excited about starting middle school. Students will have the opportunity to:

• Meet their 6th grade teachers
• Explore classrooms and the building
• Practice using their lockers
• Participate in fun team-building activities
• Learn about Thornton Middle School expectations and routines

Starting middle school is an exciting milestone, but it can also bring some nerves. Our goal is to make this transition as smooth and positive as possible by helping students become familiar with their new school before the first day of classes.

We strongly encourage every incoming 6th grader to attend. We can't wait to meet our newest students and officially welcome them to the Thornton Middle School family!
