I am a first year teacher in the SSN classroom. Currently, I am earning my degree through Metropolitan State University in Denver through their alternative licensure pathway. This just means that I obtained a BA, but not as a teacher (my BA is in speech pathology from CU Boulder, where I graduated from after only 2 years). I am completing the requirements to acquire my SPED Generalist license while I work under my alternative teacher license. This will be my third year in Adams 12. Previously, I worked with the Transition Services team as a Transition Services Coach both with IMPACT and with ASTAR. My passion is in helping build language and communication skills, so I could not be more excited for the opportunity to teach Language Arts within the SSN classroom and to assist my fellow teachers in accomodating and modifying information for students.
