I am entering my second year at the The International School teaching 6th grade science. I was born and raised in Muskegon, MI before moving to Indiana for my undergraduate education. I attended Ball State University and received my undergraduate degree in microbiology. I moved to Denver in 2010 to attend graduate school at the University of Colorado Denver, where I completed a Master's degree in biology. Science is my passion, and because of the increasing applicability in our lives, I think it's doubly important for students to get a comprehensive science education as well as develop the skills that go hand-in-hand with scientific thinking. I will challenge my students to think critically, communicate effectively, and question everything!
